   Ladan is the protagonist of this book who leaves Iran after very tangled events for  England and after many years leaves there again to Afghanistan.

She tries to keep under her wing and educate the young generation and bravely support the women who are determined to break the taboo in a closed environment with traditional strict laws governing patriarchal society.
